GUIDE TO OUR booking system

Built on the basic principle that it should be fair, intuitive and clear, we have developed a unique booking system that ensures easy access to the homes when it suits you.

The year is divided into weeks, each of which costs a number of points. The price, i.e. the number of points, varies depending on the week in question. This means that attractive weeks, e.g. Easter, summer and autumn holidays, cost slightly more points than less attractive weeks. Points are released in two rounds annually. The first time in January and the second time in September. To ensure an undramatic and calm distribution of the weeks, the points are released via a “staircase system” of three rounds. We give points per respective share, so an owner naturally gets as many points as they are entitled to depending on how many shares they own.

Points system that gives you 12 points or a minimum of 6 weeks in the home per year.

The point values for each season are as follows:

16 peak season weeks (3 points per week)

16 mid-season weeks (2 points per week)

20 weeks in the low season (1 point per week)

You book the accommodation via our electronic booking system.

Here you reserve the accommodation for the weeks you want and pay with points. Twice a year, each owner receives a number of points that are earmarked for the coming year. It is not possible to book further in advance than 1 year at a time. You can of course always talk to your co-owners and find out about different weeks/dates that are available.

We want the homes to be used as much as possible, which is why we have also made a last-minute reservation. If you see that the home is available four weeks before you want to use it, it is half the “price” in points. If the home is available the week before you want it, it can be booked for free. That is, even if you don't have any more points.

Points distribution takes place twice a year.

Points are released twice a year.

The first time in January and the second time in September.

To ensure a smooth and calm distribution of the weeks, the points are released via a “staircase system” of three rounds. It looks like this:

First booking (6 points):

2 points first 1st Sunday in January at 6:00 PM
2 points 2nd Sunday in January at 6:00 PM
2 points 3rd Sunday in January at 6:00 PM

Second booking (6 points):

2 points 1st Sunday in September at 6:00 PM
2 points on the 2nd Sunday in September at 6:00 PM
2 points 3rd Sunday in September at 6:00 PM

The accommodation is booked from Monday to Monday, because we have studied that this is on average the cheapest day to fly. Cancellation of the weeks is basically free up to 3 months before departure. After that, it costs 50% in points to cancel up to one month before departure. If you cancel 1 month or more before departure, you will not get your points back.

Division of periods

High season = 3 points
Mid-season = 2 points
Low season = 2 points

In the event that another family has booked a home for a week that you want, you can sign up for the waiting list at any time. This way, you will automatically receive a message if the home becomes available in the week you want. This ensures one of our basic principles that the homes are not unnecessarily empty. You can easily book several weeks in a row, and it is allowed to give weeks away when you want to please friends and family.

NO RENTAL

Reserved weeks may not be rented out to generate income from the accommodations, but you may lend them to family members and close friends. They are expected to look after the accommodations as if they were their own. Bylaws, rules about booking and other 'good practices' are written down and approved at the annual general meeting by you as owners.

Division of weeks - calendar

Assuming the calendar is divided equally, you get 2 weeks in high season, 2 weeks in mid season and 2 weeks in low season per share.

That gives approx. 6-7 weeks per family per share. Some years you might get more weeks because another family doesn't have time and vice versa another year. You can place your points however you want, so if the high season weeks are available, you just book them when the time comes.

We match families with holidays, which means that you as a family with children will never end up with 7 other families with children. That would not make sense in terms of the distribution of weeks.

High season: Week 7 + 8 + 13 + 14 + 25 + 26 + 27 +28 + 29 + 30 + 31 + 32 + 33 + 42 + 51 + 52
